This Yoga Psychology training course will assist mental health professionals, including psychologists, psychotherapists, counselors, social workers, occupational therapists, and medical practitioners, to develop their understanding of yoga as a framework for mental health, and how different yoga practices may be used to assist people with a variety of different mental health concerns, including depression and anxiety.

Mental health professionals will have the opportunity to deepen their awareness of the strong psychological base of yoga, exploring how various yoga practices relate to this psychological foundation.

Course includes

  • 14 hours of training with two of Australia‚Äôs most well regarded and experienced Yoga Psychologists
  • Course notes and handouts
  • Experiential practice of yoga techniques
  • Morning yoga classes

In this course, you will learn about:

  • Psychology of Yoga from ancient and classical teachings
  • The yogic model of mind
  • Yoga approaches to common mental health concerns
  • Research and evidence-based approaches
  • Precautions and contraindications

This training course may qualify for CPD points with AHPRA. Please note: The Board does not certify CPD hours in advance. It is the responsibility of the psychologist to appraise the quality of CPD activities and justify the hours claimed, and be prepared to justify these at audit. CPD activities must comply with the Board's guidelines and standards.

Cancellation and Refund Policy

Full payment for this workshop is required to secure your registration. Cancellations received prior to August 19th 2016, will receive a 50% refund. Cancellations received after August 19th 2016 will not be eligible for any refund. You may transfer your registration to another person at no cost, but please notify the program host in writing prior to the workshop date if transfer is required. 

If the event is postponed or cancelled, full refund of course fees will be provided. The organisers take no responsibility for any other reimbursement, including airfares, if the event is postponed or cancelled.
