Join in this fun Wild Learning for Kids Creative workshop created especially for home school families

In this workshop we will work on two art inspired projects:

- Patterns! a mandala inspired collage using paper shapes. To really get into the activity we will have a go at working in silence and listening to different music while we work

- Plants! A painting activity where we will create an Australian Bush flower themed art work. Before we begin our own work we will look at two Australian artists who have created pieces inspired by australian plants:

Margaret Preston - A very famous and influential Australian print maker. Read more about her here:

Ruby Tjangawa Williamson - An Aboriginal artist (Pitjantjatjara) from Amaṯa, in central Australia. Read a little about her here:

A morning tea of apples, mandarins and melon will  also be provided

This class is suitable for: 

Primary school aged children

 - parents are encouraged to stay and get creative or enjoy a cuppa and relax with other parents 

(or head across the road and enjoy some me time once the kids are settled)

All children MUST be brought into the learning space and signed in and out by a responsible adult

What you will need to bring:

- A bottle of water to drink with your name on it

- Wear clothes suitable for painting in or bring a smock or apron

- ask grown ups to pop some old newspaper in the car so you have something to put any wet art works on without making a mess in the car on the way home.

Enrolment cost: 

• $8 per child or $20 for a family
