Yoga Psychology Workshop – for Yoga Teachers - PERTH

This Yoga Psychology workshop will assist Yoga Teachers to develop their understanding of yoga psychology, enabling teachers to be more responsive to people with mental health concerns, including depression and anxiety.

Yoga Teachers will have the opportunity to deepen their awareness of the psychological foundations of yoga, exploring how the practices yoga relate to psychological and emotional health and well-being.

Course includes

  • 5 days of training with two of Australia’s most well regarded Yoga Psychologists.
  • Home study and reading
  • Recommendations for further reading and study

In this course, you will learn about:

  • Psychology of Yoga from ancient and classical teachings of the Yoga Sutras
  • The yogic model of mind and mental health
  • Mentally healthy yoga
  • Precautions and contraindications
  • Skills for assisting people who experience mental health concerns

Pre-requisites

  • Qualified Yoga Teacher (Yoga Australia level 1 or equivalent)
  • A general familiarity with the Yoga Sutra’s of Patanjali is highly recommended prior to undertaking this programme
CPD

Yoga teachers attending this course can earn 35 Continuing Professional Development (CPD) points towards their Yoga Australia membership.
