Stand Up For Justice

The Montmorency Asylum Seeker Support Group and Saint Francis Xavier Social Justice Group are hosting a special, free event.

Julian Burnside, well-known barrister and human rights advocate will be the main speaker. He will be joined by Omar and Saad Al Kassab (Syrian refugees). The Q&A panel will also include Kobra Moradi, law student, who assists asylum seekers with such things as visa applications.

In this – the land of the ‘Fair Go’ – our national anthem says, “For those who’ve come across the seas we’ve boundless plains to share” – but do we?
