Queensland German School Film Festival Screenings
Movie start time: 4.30pm

Each year students from all over Australia produce short films which are screened in the German School Film Festival finals in Sydney, Melbourne and Adelaide. This Brisbane first, free to all learners of German, including schools, students and families. This event demonstrates, how creativity and learning Deutsch can be combined! To bring the experience to Brisbane we have teamed up with the Queensland Art Gallery | Gallery of Modern Art (QAGOMA) and the Goethe-Institute Australia to present the Queensland finalists. Following these screenings, we will be showing the award-winning German movie “HEIDI”, chosen from the school screenings selection of the previous German Film Festival. We will present two prizes with an award to those two who won!

Will your short film be amongst the winners shown? Find out at this special event. You, your friends, your class and your family are invited to enjoy an afternoon of German food and film, meet German student exchange organisations, and learn a thing or two about our home country! Take your German teacher and your parents and make your way to the Cultural Precinct after school today to embrace your young inner German at the Queensland German School Film Festival Screenings at QAGOMA!

Open to the general public, are you interested in attending? Register below!
