Lay-By Your Bond Launch

Gunnedah Family Support Home Base, GoCo Community Hub and Northern Inland Credit Union Gunnedah will partner to deliver the Lay-By Your Bond Program.The purpose of the Lay-By Your Bond Program is to prevent homelessness by supporting people to save money for a rental bond. The key deliverable components of this program are:

• Financial contribution to rental bond
• Financial literacy education and financial counselling
• Referral to appropriate support agencies
• Case management to address risk of homelessness

Individual Support Plans identify the needs and goals of each participant and design tailored support strategies.

We know bond can be expensive, and we’re here to help. For every dollar deposited into the Northern Inland Credit Union account, we will contribute a dollar toward a rental bond (up to $500)*

To help make saving easier, we will provide access to financial literacy education and support to maintain tenancy.
