Spain and Beyond will transport you from the exotic sounds of Moorish Spain into the rich musical tapestry of the Mediterranean, including hot-blooded Spanish and Ladino songs La Serena and Angelitos Negros; the evocative allure of Rodrigo's Aranjuez; the popular Greek folk melodies Yerakina and Misirlou; the passionate Israeli/Arabic song We Brought Peace Upon Us with its dazzling percussive artistry; the rousing desert sounds of Ofra Haza’s Innocent pleading for the fate of refugees; the well known Judeo-Spanish song Adio Querida in tango style with castanet flair; Adamo’s world music classic Inshallah and haunting soundscapes of Brazilian Carnival and love songs...

Dahlia will be accompanied by Versatile and innovative musicians, with Llew Kiek’s Worldsound flair (guitar, oud, bouzouki), Mark Harris' percussive double Bass and mellow vocals, Eddie Bronson’s “hot” musical interpretations, Marilyn Schock’s artistry on castanets and other percussive instruments.

Jerusalem-born Dahlia commenced singing at a very early age, quickly establishing herself as one of the most popular performing artists in Israel, climaxing with her starring role in the Israeli musical - Kazablan (Israeli version of West Side Story), which ran for 2 years. She is a singer of enormous vitality and energy, and her styles include jazz, blues, torch songs, and international cabaret. Dahlia can authentically sing and interpret songs from all over the world, and is indeed one of the most versatile vocalists, singing in over 20 languages. She began her international career in London’s prominent West End clubs such as the Astor Club and George Raft's Colony Club on Berkley Square, and also in Tokyo, Hong Kong, Manila and Bangkok. In Australia Dahlia has performed on the same bill with legends such as Ray Charles, Matt Monro, Blood Sweat and Tears, Lulo Reinhardt, and the famous Metropolitan Opera tenor, Jan Peerce.

“Dahlia does it all. She is relaxed, has great presence and charm, and is a communicator, delivering her own style and personality with tremendous energy and powerful voice. A natural singer and performer, she makes every song her own”. Variety Magazine

“I mentioned passion. That’s the quality along with a superb vocal instrument that Dior brings to her performance at its best... The voice can rock rafters and she can hold a note without a trace of tremolo for what seems a small eternity - big lungs, great control, perfect technique. Here not only the voice but the face, the entire being of the artist is radiant”. Peter Morrison – The Australian Jewish News
