Event Details

A free workshop for carers and families

Caring for someone at the end of life can feel overwhelming.

Murrumbidgee Primary Health Network is proud to bring HammondCare’s Last Days community workshops to the region – helping carers understand what to expect, dispel common myths, and gain practical tools for this important time.

Delivered by palliative and dementia care specialists, these sessions will help you feel more confident and supported when caring for someone in their final days.

What you’ll learn:

  • What to expect and the role of palliative care
  • What a “good death” might look like, and the choices we have
  • How to have meaningful conversations about dying and planning ahead
  • Practical steps for getting affairs in order
  • Care choices and supports available as we near death
  • Understanding grief and loss, and where to find help
  • Common rituals, rules and regulations around death
