Knox City Council is pleased to present “Supporting children’s inclusion in early years services”.
Inclusive environments foster a sense of belonging, promote social and emotional development and help all children to build empathy and respect for diversity.
This online networking presentation will give an overview of services and programs within City of Knox that support the access and inclusion of children with disabilities/developmental delays.
Each agency will give a short overview of what the service offers, eligibility and referral process
Victorian Inclusion Agency – provides inclusion support under the Inclusion Support program by supporting inclusive practices and remove barriers for children with additional needs. Facilitate access to Specialist Equipment Library and Inclusion Development Fund.
Kindergarten Inclusion Service – supports kindergarten services to plan and implement programs that support children with disabilities, developmental delay or complex medical needs. Facilitate access to training & consultancy, minor building modifications and additional staffing support.
Pre-School Field Officer Program – supports kindergarten teachers and Educators to gain knowledge, skill sand confidence to support children with additional needs by planning and implementing individual child strategies and practices that support inclusion.
NDIS Link – supports families when a child require access to early intervention services under the National Disability Insurance Scheme by linking with local services and providers.
This FREE session is available for early years staff, preschool staff and family day care educators working in Knox (including the suburbs of Bayswater, Boronia, Ferntree Gully, Knoxfield, Lysterfield, Rowville, Scoresby, The Basin, Upper Ferntree Gully, Wantirna and Wantirna South).
