Program: 

Step into the world of night. In the virtuosic hands of Tim Munro, Vivaldi’s "La notte" Flute Concerto captivates with shadows, storms, and fleeting visions. Margaret Blades and György Déri unfurl a midnight dance in Halvorsen's famous Passacaglia, on the music of Handel. And as the evening deepens, the rich voice of Aylish Ryan brings the power of opera to an intimate setting, with famous arias that glow like moonlight.

Aylish Ryan is the 2025 Margaret Schindler Vocal Scholarship recipient (MSVS). Hailing from Toowoomba, she recently completed a Bachelor of Music at the Queensland Conservatorium Griffith University, having won many accolades along the way. She is a 2025 Opera Queensland Young Artist, and is headed towards a glittering international career. The 2025 MSVS is kindly supported by donor Carolyn Mason. 

Program to include:

1) Antonio Vivaldi: Flute Concerto in G minor, Op. 10 No. 2, RV 439 "La notte" 10'

2) Johan Halvorsen: Passacaglia (after GF Handel) 8'

3) A selection of opera arias performed by Aylish Ryan

Event to run for 60 minutes with time to mingle with the artists after the performance. Your $110 ticket includes a $10 event/ticket charge and a $100 tax-deductible donation. Your tax receipt will be sent to the email used for ticket purchase. As this is a fundraiser, there are strictly no refunds.
