NEW Workshop – Advanced Acrylic Art Workshop - Suitable for those who have done one of our acrylic flow art workshops.

In this 3 hour workshop we’ll teach you all the hints and tips to achieve the String Pull, Sheelee Art Bloom and Colander techniques. These advanced techniques require acrylic art basics, we recommend that you need to have done at least one of our Acrylic Flow workshops before attempting this class.

Shelee Art Bloom Technique

This particular form of Dutch acrylic pour is known as the Shelee Art bloom technique and once you know it, you’ll love to create multiple pieces at a time. It’s probably the most popular YouTube technique watched this year.

String Pull

This method is not strictly a type of acrylic pour, although the string or chain technique is often used in fluid art painting to achieve flowers or shapes.

Colander Pour

Of the more advanced acrylic pours, the strainer or colander pour is the most widely used by artists. The method consists of using a dirty pour, except instead of applying the paint mixture straight upon the canvas, the paint instead filters through a colander or strainer placed on the canvas. As it flows from the strainer, the paint produces a kaleidoscopic colour effect.

Held in the Collective Obsessions private studio in Bassendean, this workshop runs for approximately 2 structured yet extremely fun filled hours, during which you will create 1 x 20cm square, 1 x 30cm square and 1 x 45cm square double edge artist quality canvas.

Everything is supplied. All you need to bring is your imagination and a willingness to learn!

We even supply light refreshments!
