Bridgewater Oval
Sunday 29th April 2018 from 9 am
Please join us for the Warren Bonython Heysen Trail Foundation's fund raising event.
There will be a range of loop walks from 6 km to 18 kms in the beautiful Adelaide Hills around the Bridgewater / Mt George / Mt Lofty area. Suitable for all ages and standards of walking fitness. Route maps will be distributed at the start of the walk and marshals will provide directions at key points.
Walks will commence through the morning with the 16km walk starting at 9am. A schedule of walks and other details will be emailed to all registrations prior to Sunday. The BBQ meals will be available on completion of your walk, from 10.30 to 2pm
So bring the family for a great day out.
In keeping with the tradition of the Warren Bonython Memorial Walk conducted by the Friends of the Heysen Trail, the theme for the day will be yellow and a prize consisting of Heysen Trail merchandise pack to the value of $100 will be offered for the best sartorial contribution on the day.
At the conclusion of the walk there will be a BBQ meal which is included in the registration fee.
The cost of registration is $30 for adults, $5 for children and $60 for families (2 adults plus up to 3 children).
The 1,200 km Heysen Trail is developed and maintained primarily by volunteers and donated funds are used to support the environmental integrity of the trail.
You may also choose to make a one-off donation to the Foundation through the Foundation's web site: Warren Bonython Heysen Trail Foundation
