Cantorion means ‘Singers’ in Welsh and the Choir follows in the fine Welsh tradition of male voice choirs. The Cantorion Sydney Male Voice Choir has an eclectic repertoire of classical, folk and sacred music in the male voice choral genre. The Choir is made up of rich male voices which sing many familiar, uplifting and often moving songs. Our concert in Gunnamatta will reflect the best of our repertoire. We hope you enjoy our performance.


Programme includes: Verdi’s ‘Va Pensiero’, ‘Joshua fit the battle of Jericho,’ ‘The Battle Hymn of the Republic,’ ‘Men of Harlech,’ ’Will Ye Go Lassie Go’ ‘The Hippopotamus Song,’ ‘16 Tons,’ ‘Sospan Fach,’ ‘Calon Lan’.

“Our delightful soprano soloist, Tessa Hayward will sing the evergreen song, Vilia. Then she will be joined by Cantorion’s Director of Music, Ben Oxley in Love Unspoken. Both items are from The Merry Widow, now playing at Opera Australia.
