Cyber Safety & Digital Footprints - A special presentation for parents.

Macquarie College Presents the eSmart Certified Provider, Mr Jonny Shannon

This free community event is open to all members of the College community and their guests.

Jonny works in the field of bullying and online safety, presenting key messages to Australian school students and their parents for more than 10 years.

Jonny speaks candidly about the opportunities - and the potential risks - involved in online communities.  He will share insights into digital footprints, techniques for being safe and smart online, and will describe the regulatory frameworks in Australia which are available to protect children and young people online.

It is important that we build and maintain our connections as a community here at Macquarie College, and have meaningful conversations about issues that impact our lives.   Jonny will encourage parents in a fun and interactive way, while exploring game-changing topics such as phone contracts, social media safety, online bullying, and symptoms of phone and online addiction.

You are invited to join us at this FREE community event, and you are encouraged to bring a friend or neighbour with you to hear Jonny's presentation.  Year 5-12 students will be attending presentations from Jonny during the same day.  So this is the perfect opportunity to begin (or continue) conversations in the home and community which aim to protect and preserve your child's online safety.

Pre-register now to secure your seats.  Supper will be served after Jonny's presentation.
