Knox Active Ageing Expo 2018

The purpose of the Knox Active Ageing Expo is to provide information about services, activities and facilities that are available principally within the City of Knox. It is an opportunity to learn about all aspects of Active Ageing. Hear about people who are living well and embracing their senior years. While receiving information on changes to the aged care sector and services available. There will be a combination of exhibitor stands and information sessions.  Topics for the sessions include:

• Maintaining your independence at all ages and stages (presented by Knox City Council and Eastern Health)
• What to look for when considering a retirement village (presented by Consumer Affairs Victoria)
• Planning for the future: powers of attorney and medical treatment decision making (presented by Office of the Public Advocate)
• Do or Die: Futureproof your health (presented by Dr Liz Cyarto)
• How's retirement shaping up so far? Is your lifestyle how you want it to be? Are there any other fabulous, novel or adventurous things you'd like to add? Come along and let’s explore together (facilitated session).
