Getting Started with Narrative Assessment & Interpreting Brightpath Reports

This full-day online Professional Learning comprises of two segments. The first session is designed for teachers getting started in making narrative assessments. In the second session teachers gain a comprehensive understanding of their school performance data, and how to interpret the Reports.

  • ·Part I - Participants learn how to make an on-balance judgment, taking into account both the Authorial Choices and Conventions of writing and how to closely analyse student work.Participants go offline for 45 mins. and have a go at assessing three scripts against the ruler. We return for a post assessment analysis and discussion, with an opportunity to ask any questions.
  • ·Part II The Reports. Participants will work across the Brightpath reports to develop a comprehensive understanding of students’ extended performance data. How to inform teaching, give feedback to students, set targets, review whole school performance and evaluate student growth in learning.

The zoom meeting link and zipped folder of required materials will be emailed to you a week before the workshop. Please have printed hard copies of these materials on hand.

Refunds up to 14 days before the event, Refund policy - Refunds will be issued if notification of cancellation is received more than 14 calendar days before the event date. A $100 cancellation fee per ticket will apply in all instances.
