Emily Wurramara and Alice Skye to embark on a joint national album tour

Indigenous singer-songwriters and storytellers Emily Wurramara and Alice Skye are coming together for a special joint national tour this June/July to launch their forthcoming debut albums.

Brisbane-based Emily Wurramara’s childhood was one of water and music. Growing up on Groote Eylandt, her days were filled with travel, fishing, extended family and a mother telling stories of dreams and dolphins that would one day become the seeds of her music. 22-year-old Melbourne-based Alice Skye is a Wergaia woman who grew up living aside the majesty of the Grampians and was not short of songwriting inspiration. Her music also draws on her roots, emotions and observations to weave songs rich in spirit and originality.

With both young woman on the rise in the Australian music scene and a great deal of mutual admiration between them, a joint album launch is the perfect way for audiences to see and hear what these beautiful young artists have to say live and together on stages across the country.
