      Day  1

 "Psychology of Yoga"

An Introduction To Embodied Yoga Principles

with mark walsh

who is this for?

Anyone wanting to be more powerfully inhabited in their body by understanding the psychology of their body's messages.

For anyone Practicing Yoga: A Western deep approach to yoga - if you already know the physical aspects and esoteric aspects of yoga, come and learn how to take your yoga practice off the mat and into your life.

For Teachers: When a person is in warrior pose, it is possible to see a person's personality from there, their psychology. Mark makes these things explicit in such a way that people can use this data to develop themselves or help others grow. Add this philosophy to any style of yoga.

what you can get from this workshop:

• Practical tools you can use in daily life

• Increased psychological awareness as to what is limiting you

• Greater freedom to not be stuck in the same old patterns

• A whole new “level” to work with during asana practice

• A fresh framework to inspire and guide your home practice

• A way of improving your relationships (from leadership, to healthy boundaries, to being sexier from the inside out)

• Greater effectiveness in making the world a better place. This isn’t “holiday” or health and beauty yoga, this is yoga for what matters most

• Many laughs, a fun social time and some new friends (EYP is really good at connecting people)

what is eyp?

Embodied Yoga Principles (EYP) is a practical new method for making postural yoga more applicable to daily life. EYP is used to enrich yoga practice and add a new level of depth to asana. EYP helps yogis gain deep insights and learn practical tools to help with work, relationships and the challenges of life in 2018 far from the Himalayas. Rather than just helping people relax, EYP is an educational method for growing as a person and powerfully improving your life. It’s mindfulness-based and influenced by body therapy, dance, theatre, improv comedy, martial arts and life coaching; and brings these approaches to yoga.

This is not a typical yoga workshop – expect to be inspired, challenged and gain some deep insights into your own psychological patterns. The day will include chatting with partners, group discussions and bad jokes.
