Event Details

The Allied Health Connection was created to provide a platform for connection, collaboration and innovation between Allied Health Professionals in South Australia. 

We run events for client-centred Allied Health Professionals so they can connect, collaborate, learn and develop their businesses in a supportive environment. By bringing the experts to our events, questions are answered and small, actionable steps are undertaken so our Allied Health Professionals can move forward in their businesses and continue to focus on caring for their clients.

The Allied Health Connection is excited to be holding two more events for South Australian Allied Health Professionals in 2018! Join us on Friday 17th August (and again on Friday 2nd November) to become a part of our multi-disciplinary community of client-centred Allied Health Professionals.


Event Outline

2:30pm - Registration - Drinks and nibbles available

3:00pm - Event opening

3:05pm - Speaker on the topic of:

  • Is Passion Enough? – Passion is an absolute must when you are in business but is it enough to get your business off the ground and keep it going strong? Learn practical tips from a business coach & mentor who specialises in working with micro businesses about the mindset required to make your business a success.

3:30pm - Small Group Connection:

  • Spend quality time with other Allied Health Professionals to discuss where you are going, what you are doing and how you can do it better! Use each other's strengths and opinions to get a fresh perspective on your business.

4:10pm - Inter-disciplinary networking - Drinks and nibbles available

4:30pm - Speaker on the topic of:

  • It’s Storytime! - Learn the basics of how to take great DIY photos for Instagram, Facebook and your website and simple tricks to make your images stand out. Our photography expert will help you understand what you need to do to take great shots that connect with your clients.

4:55pm - Inter-disciplinary networking - Drinks and nibbles available

5:10pm - 'Been There, Done That!' PANEL DISCUSSION with industry experts.

  • Here is your chance to ask the tough questions of those who have been around the block a few times! Pick their brains to find out their secrets to success and where they fell on their faces ... so you don't have to learn the hard way!
  • PANEL DISCUSSION - Our panel members hail from a variety of Allied Health disciplines, locations, length of time in business, business sizes and business models ... but they have all successfully created and grown their Allied Health businesses in their own way! Such a wealth of knowledge!!!
  • The first 20 minutes of the discussion will revolve around the topics covered earlier in the day by our speakers so we can get some Allied Health real-world do's and don'ts from our panel. From there it is a free-for-all to ask whatever questions you like ... the trickier the better! But never fear ... we will have anonymous question sheets available if raising your hand is not your thing. 

5:55pm - Door Prizes and wrap up

6:00pm - Finish - Bar will still be open for further networking!
