Mother Hen Touring, Stanley Records and Post To Wire are proud to present the launch of their brand new CD compilation documenting the contemporary Australian alternative country scene. Spread over three CDs and 47 tracks, Take Me To Town surveys the musical landscape of troubadours, singer-songwriters and country rock bands and celebrates our rich and communal music scene.

In the iconic surrounds of the Marrickville Bowling Club you’ll be entertained by an amazing cross section of acts featured on the compilation. Local legendary cowpunks Spurs For Jesus will bring their classic country sound and energy. You’ll be serenaded by the ragged and melodic heartland rock of The Heartache State (feat. Nick Barker), rising star Ben Leece and critically acclaimed songwriter Dan Brodie. Adam Young and Brielle Davis (Not Good With Horses) will win hearts with their acoustic set, the majestic voice and sublime songs of Queensland-based Jen Mize will stop you in your tracks and the inner city honky tonk sound of Dave Favours & The Roadside Ashes will bring an authentic spirit and vibe to the album launch.

DJ Chris Familton of Post To Wire will keep the vibe going with an all Australian selection of songs between sets.
