Complex trauma refers to the psychological, physiological and neurological impacts of being exposed to multiple distressing and invasive events, that happen repetitively over a sustained period, including physical and mental abuse, neglect, violence, significant loss and other life threatening and dangerous events.
Decades of research have resulted in a neuroscientific knowledge base which has become the most prominent framework for understanding and responding to the needs of children affected by trauma and adversity.
This workshop explores the latest research, and draws heavily on Tracey's own experiences of working positively with children impacted by trauma. Participants will:
