How many times have you said “I just need a day to sit down and sort out my social media”? More than once right? Well here it is… a full day workshop where you can get away from those distractions and focus on creating a full social media strategy, including detailed content plan, for your business.

Working from the same template I use with my one on one strategy clients, we’ll go through the big picture items such as goal setting, pitch, points of different, ideal customers/clients, voice and brand messaging, before moving onto creating a content plan that is focussed on your audience, building a community and turning those fans and followers into clients and customers.

If your eyes glaze over at the mere sight of the words 'strategy' or ‘plan’, don't stress it doesn't have to be boring or complicated. In fact my aim at this workshop is to gather an intimate group of likeminded business owners so we can work together and have some fun along the way.

Having a social media strategy will change the way you play the game. If you’re sick of scrambling for things to write about and the overwhelming pressure that comes with managing your accounts; if you’re left wondering how those ‘other accounts’ seem to have a constant supply of content that flows and resonates; well let me tell you that having a strategy will change this, and take your social media to the next level. It’ll take you from an overwhelming ‘hell no’ to a super excited ‘let’s go’… and we’ll do it together!

What do you get from the day?

  • ·Full day workshop (9am – 4pm) with optional drinks, mingle and pick-my-brain session concluding at 5pm. Arrival tea & coffee, morning tea, lunch and afternoon tea provided…. And a celebratory wine & bubbles at the end of the day!
  • ·Presentation, information & template to create a social media strategy with a focus on setting goals that align with your business and brand and content that connects with your audience.
  • ·We’ll work through goal setting, pitch, points of difference, ideal customers/clients, voice and brand messaging, before moving onto creating a content plan that is fully focussed on your target customers/clients.
  • ·You’ll learn how to build your community, business and client base on social media.
  • ·You’ll receive tips and tricks for creating unique content, scheduling your posts and some helpful tips for reusing content, creating an image bank and a list of my favourite tools and apps that make creating and managing content a breeze.

  • ·The feeling of pure relief when you finally get your strategy sorted.
  • ·And not to mention making some new biz buddies and having a lot of fun… and wine, did I mention wine?

What you’ll need for this workshop:

  • ·A laptop to customise the strategy template during the workshop.
  • ·A willingness to learn, be challenged, try new things and think outside the box. This is a hands on workshop and you will get the most out of the day if you are willing to work and take part.

I want an intimate, personalised and hands-on workshop so there will only be 10 places available. This event will run with 6 or more attendees.

Serena O'Brien - SOVA Social

Serena O'Brien is the Founder of SOVA Social, assisting businesses with social media strategy, management and workshops. She is on a mission to make social media for small business less overwhelming, more fun and effective!

Serena has corporate marketing experience, studied social media marketing and is now (very slowly) plodding her way through a Masters of Digital Media.

Having worked with major international brands such as Bertolli Olive Oil, community brands such as Her Drum, children's brands such as Baby Bistro and local health and beauty brands such as Dermal Aesthetics and The Glow Room, her experience is well rounded and across many industries.

Whilst she loves all things social media, Serena is also a proud mum to daughters Rosie and Bonnie, a coffee addict and social butterfly who loves a good laugh and glass of bubbles! One of the best decisions she made was to move to the beautiful Mornington Peninsula where she lives a life that her and family LOVE!
