"This Saturday the 6th of October Simon Drew will be swinging up a storm in Nambour’s own Bison Bar to celebrate his birthday and raise money for a worthy cause - The Mental Awareness Foundation. This amazing charity aims to spread awareness about mental health issues in Australia, and 100% of the proceeds raised at this gig will go towards ground level organisations that are helping people all over the country to cope with mental health problems. So come along to celebrate with Simon and raise money for a great cause!

Simon Drew is not just a jazz vocalist and trumpeter; he’s a storyteller and an artist. His tasteful interpretations of jazz standards have been praised by people all around the globe, and he has gained the reputation of being able to turn jazz-agnostics into jazz-believers through his authentic yet reserved style.

Simon has one single goal in every one of his recordings or performances, and that is to have the listener experience something beautiful, real, and different. Although he is only a young artist, Simon has achieved some important milestones including the release of three jazz albums (Detour Ahead, Live @ Jazz on 4, and Tribute to Chet), being accepted into the Generations in Jazz Vocal Scholarship (judged by James Morrison) two years in a row, and performing at many great venues and festivals including the Noosa Jazz Festival, the Broadbeach Jazz Festival, the Brisbane Jazz Club and the Paris Cat Jazz Club. Recently Simon has returned from three contracts onboard the worlds largest cruise ships where he led his own quartet every night in the “Jazz on 4” jazz club. He looks forward to once again sharing his music with an audience in his home town!"
