DALE BARLOW/ ANDREW DICKESON QUARTET

Master saxophonist DALE BARLOW combines forces with drummer ANDREW DICKESON to form a “burning” modern jazz quartet.  Barlow has long been one of the leading lights of Modern Jazz in Australia - as well as his illustrious international career with greats such as Art Blakey, Cedar Walton, Chet Baker & many more.

Andrew Dickeson is one of Australia’s busiest & most prominent drummers & band leaders & has worked with a veritable 'Who’s Who' of Australian & International jazz artists.  Their quartet is completed by two of Australia’s finest musicians: HUGH BARRETT on piano & JACOB GRAHAM on bass. This will be a night of cooking “Hard Bop” rarely heard in Sydney. The band will be featuring classic tunes from Art Blakey’s Jazz Messengers, Cedar Walton, some classic standards, as well as some beautiful original music.
