The Film:

Set in the fictional town of Bodgy Creek it follows the plight of down on his luck footballer Troy Carrington who sets out to revive the fate of local football club the Roosters. To avoid merging with another club Troy recruits the local refugee and immigrant population teaching them the finer art of AFL which comes with hilarious results. Among the laughs there lies a tale of Troys redemption and the lessons of survival taught by the refugees to the locals who learn to understand their own struggles in comparison, and break down the Australian Masculinity and expose it as outdated and misguide
