Event Details

An engaging and interactive session with the extremely experienced and knowledgeable Dave Carr from Stringybark Ecological. We will delve into high level identification skills across some plant families, concentrating on the characteristics to look for when you have a particular purpose in mind. For example, when planting the edges of a dam or waterway, or for managing erosion or for increasing rehydration of your land. We will take into account and discuss variation of soil types and topography in our region and how these impact your plant choices.

The Living Classroom Community Nursery is supporting this event thanks to the Foundation of Rural and Regional Renewal (FRRR) through the Australian Government's Future Drought Fund.

Attendees will be able to chose a plant from the Community Nursery to take home. Plants will also be available for sale.

A scrumptious morning tea and lunch will be provided.
