Beechworth Theatre Company is proud to present an amateur production of The Vicar of Dibley! A stage play by Ian Gower and Paul Carpenter, adapted from the original TV series by Richard Curtis and Paul Mayhew-Archer. With kind permission of Tiger Aspect Productions. This wonderfully hilarious classic British TV comedy is set in the fictitious village of Dibley (somewhere in Oxfordshire) circa 1994 when female Vicars were a very new and unusual occurrence! Geraldine Granger arrives in Dibley to take up her new position and is full of enthusiasm and love for her rather eclectic flock! But how does the flock take to the appearance of a woman as their new Vicar? The play is written based on episodes from the first two series and starts at the beginning - with the arrival of Geraldine - making its way through her various encounters with the parish council members, including David, Frank, Owen, Jim and Mrs Cropley, and the blossoming romance between Alice and Hugo.

Some coarse language and adult themes.
