Wizard of Rock Musical

Join our Ipswich Creative Performers (Ipswich Homeschooled Tweens/Teens) as they present their mid term Musical Performance; The Wizard of Rock.

The Musical, loosely based off Wizard of Oz and Wicked; follows a young teen as she enters a dream-like world. She meets some interesting characters along the way as they introduce her to a group of Musical legends, on their way to the Candyland Music Festival. Will her dream of becoming a big musical star come true? Will her new friends help her realise she has the talent she needs to make it?

The Musical team have gathered for the past 2 terms to create this performance piece from the ground up. Together they’ve created the storyline, imagined each of their characters to life and made stage items such as their Backdrops & Props.

This Amateur production will likely be the first performance in front of an audience for many of our Cast. Please be aware that this is a group production, run as Not-for-profit. All proceeds from ticket sales go towards the cost of the Function space hired for the event.

Our Ipswich Creative Performers groups have been running since October 2024. Many of the cast in our Musical have worked on their performance skills now over the 3 terms. This is a showcase of their progress to date.

Adult tickets: $5 pp (18+)
Child tickets: $2 pp (3 - 17yrs)
Under 3yrs: Free

Seating will not be individually allocated. Those that arrive first have first choice of seating.

Food will be available for service downstairs at Hotel Metropole prior to doors opening at 5:30pm. A small bar will be open upstairs for adults to access refreshments for the family.

Doors open: 5:30pm
Show starts: 6pm
Intermission: Approx 30mins
Show ends: Latest 9pm

Please note that all children aged under 18yrs old will need to leave the venue prior to 10pm at the very latest as per the Venue guidelines.
