Welcome, everyone, to a journey into the future! Today marks the beginning of our exploration into the fascinating realm of futures and foresight. We're thrilled to invite you to join Dr Jeanne Hoffman and Dr Elissa Farrow, as we embark on a day of discovery, imagination, and futures thinking.
In a world constantly evolving, futures literacy— the ability to anticipate, assess, adapt, and innovate— is more crucial than ever. The Creating Tomorrow workshop is designed to empower you with the tools, insights, and mindsets needed to navigate the complexities of the future with confidence and 'think like a futurist'.

Your Facilitators
Dr. Jeanne Hoffman, PhD, is an award-winning futurist, educator, and strategic foresight facilitator. She currently serves as an adjunct Fellow of Foresight/Futures at the University of the Sunshine Coast and held the position of Associate Professor at Tamkang University, Taiwan, from 2015 to 2023. In 2018, Dr. Hoffman was recognised for her outstanding contributions, receiving the Tamkang University medal for the Exemplary Teaching Award.
Dr Hoffman is the co-editor of the World Futures Review and is a board member of the Journal of Futures Studies, where she previously served as editor from 2015 to 2021. She is a contributor to the Global Future FITness Study 2023, benchmarking 500 global organisations on the impact futures literacy has on their future preparedness to anticipate and assess drivers of change, understand systemic effects, and foresee consequences to take a proactive posture towards change. Dr. Hoffman is a member of the Asia Pacific Futurists Network (APFN), Association of Professional Futurist (APF) and the World Futures Studies Federation (WFSF).
Dr Elissa Farrow, PhD is a is an award-winning futurist, author, facilitator, coach and strategist. She has over 25 years experience in research, organisational innovation, design, adaptation and benefits realisation. and has extensive experience in strategic organisational adaptation design and delivery. Dr. Farrow has supported organizations in defining positive futures and has successfully facilitated their transformation, bringing about lasting benefits.
Dr Farrow is known for her compassionate leadership and engaging approach stemming from her background as a Social Scientist. She is an experienced board director, and has held global leadership positions with the Change Management Institute as well as chair of DVConnect (2012-2017) a service preventing Domestic and Family Violence in Queensland. Her published doctoral research explored the implications of Artificial Intelligence on organisational futures. Dr. Farrow is a member of the Asia Pacific Futurists Network (APFN), Association of Professional Futurist (APF) and the World Futures Studies Federation (WFSF).
