Thanks to your incredible support, Colonel Light’s Tree has just been crowned the 2025 Trees South Australian Tree of the Year! 

To celebrate, we’re inviting the whole community to a special Thank You Event on:

Saturday 4th October, 12–3pm at Kies Family Wines

Hear from Mayor Bim Lange and Reuben Batten about the rich history of this award-winning tree, the very place where the Barossa Valley was named by Colonel William Light in 1837 and view historical artefacts connected to its story.
