We invite you to join us for 5 sessions on Wednesday evenings from 6th March to 3rd April and experience The Parenting Teenagers Course, that teaches you how to understand your teenager and build a better relationship with them. 

What is The Parenting Teenagers Course?

Over five evenings spent together, parents/carers talk about important issues that effect themselves and their teenagers. 

Each evening begins at 7.00pm and concludes at 9:30pm. Supper is included.

Topics covered include:

• keep your long term aim in mind
• meet your teenager's needs
• set clear boundaries
• develop emotional health
• help them make good choices

Privacy is always respected. There is no requirement to disclose anything about your family to anyone else.

What is the cost?

The cost of the whole course is $50 per person (early bird rate) or $70 per person, which includes supper each week, plus each person receives a guest manual. This is paid in advance online at the link indicated.

Where is the Course held?

The Parenting Teenagers Course will be held at the Burnside Community Centre, 

23 Lexington Drive Burnside. 7pm to 9:30pm.

Is child care available?

Childcare will be available for children aged 1 (and walking) to Year 8 students. Under 1yro's are welcome to stay with you.

Childcare will include G or PG rated movies (suitable to registered ages of children), craft and activities. Supper and drinks will be provided. Please bring any necessary comfort items for your child.

Childcare costs $5/child per week and MUST be registered prior to 6th March. Carers have their Working With Children Checks and are trained in child protection.

There will be no refunds if one or more weeks of childcare payment, should your child/ren not be able to attend.

Who is it for?

The Parenting Teenagers Course is for any parent/carer who wants support and information to assist them with their relationship with their teen.

The course, whilst based on Christian principles, is helpful for any parent/carer with or without a Christian faith or church background.
