SUOR ANGELICA
Pacific Opera present Puccini’s Suor Angelica to open our 80th Anniversary season at Music at Manly.
Written in 1918, this is a depiction of convent life in the 17th century and a heartbreaking tale. Renowned Australian opera conductor and Pacific Opera Artistic Director, Simon Kenway will conduct the orchestra. Join us for this fully staged and costumed opera in the perfect setting of the Cerretti Chapel.
Pacific Opera supports young singers through a program of education comprising artistic training, performance opportunities, and professional skills development. Through this work, Pacific Opera cultivates the next generation of Australian talent. Pacific Opera have established an important position in the Australian opera landscape offering singers the chance to develop their vocal and performance skills to advance into the international opera arena.
