Welcome to Macleay Landcare's Riparian Permit Requirements Workshop,  funded by the NSW Government under Rural Recovery Support Service. The Rural Recovery Support Service is funded through the Department of Primary Industries and Regional Development. At this event, we will have industry staff presenting on potentially required permits to obtain before riparian work is conducted, including Crown lands, Natural Resource Access Regulators and North Coast Local Land Services. Kempsey council staff will also be presenting on managing weeds post-floods to help land managers better understand how to manage riverbank erosion on their property. Catered event, RSVP essential.

Event Program:

9: 00 – 9: 30 am: Arrival and sign on.

9:30 am: Introductions, acknowledgement of country, housekeeping.

9: 40 am – 10: 10 am: Crown Lands short-term license requirements. (Crown Lands Dept.)

10: 10 am – 10: 40 am: KSC riparian weeds of the Macleay. (Kempsey Council)

10: 40 am – 11: 10 am: Morning tea.

11: 10 am – 11: 45 am: NRAR understanding controlled activity permits for riparian work. (Natural Resource Access Regulators - Dept. Water)

11: 45 am – 12: 40 pm: LLS – Navigating the permit process and nature-based solutions for riparian restoration. (Local Land Services)

12: 40 – 1/ 1: 30 pm: Catered lunch.

1: 30 pm/ 2 pm: Event end.
