‘Proud to Belong in Knox’ is a free community event, where you can hear people from diverse cultural backgrounds discuss what it means to call Knox home.

It’s our chance to celebrate Cultural Diversity Week and grow together as one connected and inclusive community.

Guest speakers:

• Aleem Ali, CEO of Welcoming Australia - on the goals of Welcoming Australia and Knox City Council's recent membership to the Welcoming Australia Network
• Lin Jong, AFL Player – Q&A session with Lin, who grew up in Knox as the child of migrants

The evening will also include a smoking ceremony and Welcome to Country by a local Elder, live music, refreshments by social enterprise Refugee Council of Australia, and more.

Time: 6.00 - 9.00pm (Formalities commence at 6.30pm)
