**Camino Community in Melbourne - March Gathering**
(HIKE & LUNCH)
Dear Pilgrims and fellow Camino Enthusiastics,
We warmly invite you to join us at this month's Camino gathering for a hike along the George Bass Coast Trail.
This is a great opportunity for testing out your Camino gear so load your backpack and bring it along with you on this hike.
DATE: Sunday 31st March 2019
TIME: 10:30am - 4:00pm
VENUE: George Bass Coastal Walking Trail
MEETING PLACE: Car park at the end of Punchbowl Road, San Remo.
Donation: $5 per person (to be collected on the day)
Please arrive at least 10 minutes so we can start walking at 10:30am sharp.
To get there, drive along Bass Hwy, then turn left into Punchbowl Road (a couple of kms from main part of San Remo)
I will meet you at the end of Punchbowl Road in the car park (pictured on the right).
Today's hike is along the George Bass Coast Walk Tail. It is approximately 7km each way. It is a lovely walk along the cliff edge overlooking the ocean. This has a few gentle hills so bring your hiking poles
We will start our walk from the Punchbowl car park and follows the cliff tops to Kilcunda, where we will dine at the Kilcunda Cafe.
PLEASE NOTE: lunch is at your own expense
Please wear appropriate clothing for the day.
- Hiking Shoes
- Hiking Poles - highly recommended.
- Comfortable hiking clothes
- Back Pack - fully loaded (optional)
- Water
- Sunscreen
- Money for lunch/snacks
This gathering is for the purpose of connecting with fellow pilgrims who have walked the Camino or wish to walk the Camino in the near future.
The intention is to keep the spirit of the Camino alive within our hearts, and they are a great opportunity to get to know each other, share our Camino stories and hopefully inspire others to embark on their own pilgrimage to Santiago de Compostela.
Looking forward to seeing you there.
Buen Camino
