Mel Tuoma

Like honey to a bee, jazz and soul vocalist Mel Tuoma was born with a phenomenal talent for music. Her resonant velvet tone seems unlikely coming from such a petite frame. Mel's music is influenced by Ella Fitzgerald, Nina Simone and Sarah Vaughan.

Mel completed a contemporary vocals course in Sydney and headed to London which became home for the next six years. There were endless opportunities for her musical ability to be refined, a main highlight was being involved in a production directed by international multi-instrumentalist Mo Pleasure.

Mel is now happily based back in the southwest since 2017 with plans to continue sharing her passion for music through teaching, performance and songwriting.
