Food Photography Workshop

A relaxed 4 hr Workshop by Kat from Sonny & Kat Photography. Kat is passionate about food photography and uses a ‘hands-on approach’ in her Workshops. Normally run at Kat’s home, we have asked her to run this Workshop for a larger group in support of the new Emerge Cafe - what better way to spend a Sunday than getting creative (with a side of social good) in this amazing space!

NB: ten dollars from each ticket sold will be donated to Emerge Toowoomba. OR, buy a donation ticket here.

This course is for: Maximum 12 people
Anyone: beginners – professional and business owners; 
Photographers wishing to improve their food photography skills;
Food enthusiasts wanting to understand techniques for taking food images using natural light;
Individuals wanting to learn basic techniques for editing food images;
Individuals working in small food/hospitality/culinary/retail businesses looking to do their own food or stock photography.

What we will be doing: (time allowing with a large group)
- Using a range of lighting techniques in food photography & image styling; explore objects and surfaces, shape and form, light and shade, direct and indirect light.
- Choosing angle of shot, image composition guidelines, managing food preparation, props and backdrops.
- Introduction to editing.

What to bring:
Bring DSLR Camera/Manual/iphone + Tripod
Lunch, Tea and Coffee are included.

Cancellations are non-refundable.
A change in personal circumstances does not entitle a ticket holder to return or exchange a ticket.
All bookings are confirmed on receipt of full payment and if a seat is available.
If you are unable to attend a reserved booking, you are welcome to send someone else in your place.
All classes and events require closed-in shoes.

If a class is cancelled or moved to a date and/or time you are unavailable, you are entitled to a full refund.
