Laurence Pike 'Holy Spring'
Prolific percussionist Laurence Pike has operated at the cutting edge of contemporary music for the better part of two decades. His first solo release Distant Early Warning(Leaf Label, 2018) was described as “a triumph” (A Closer Listen), garnering 4.5 stars from the Sydney Morning Herald and receiving “Contemporary Album of the Month” by The Guardian. Tonight, he returns with Holy Spring, the second solo release in as many years.
Performing with little more than a drum kit and sampler, Pike’s solo performances are a transcendental journey through his own jazz history and the electronic experimentation of his bands.

Lumberjack Vinyl Release
Lumberjack is a piano trio comprised of Gerard Masters (p), Brett Hirst (b) and Miles Thomas (d).
Formed when Thomas had access to the famed Paradise Studios, the trio recorded their debut “Just Blowing” after hours/between sessions, to great success in Australia and Japan.
The trio has gone through various different names over the past 10 years working together, with their third self-titled album released early 2019 to critical acclaim.
“I wanted a trio that could handle any direction/stimulus at any time - the openness and ability to follow the improvising. With Gerard and Brett this is the only way to play” says Thomas
Hear the new album and new ground being explored.
