Students from Vincentia High School have created a South Coast Community Expedition and have recently been selected to take part in an Antipodeans Expedition to Cambodia in September 2019.

Antipodeans offers an expedition leadership program that takes students to developing countries, with the students actively involved in the planning and execution of their own expedition under professional supervision. The travelling students will be challenged, will experience leadership and will immerse themselves in a totally different culture. In turn, they will call upon qualities of resilience, determination and responsibility.

A key element of the Antipodeans experience is the Community Project, when the team will be given a real opportunity to assist those less fortunate than themselves. The team will spend some days in a small community during which time they will have the chance to interact with local people on a simple renovation or construction project, while also having the opportunity to immerse themselves in village life teaching games or English. It provides a cultural interaction not available to the ordinary tourist.
