Jack's Place

Come join us for an evening of magic and wonder under the stars as we relaunch Jack’s Place – a story from the Worimi Dreaming. Aboriginal dancers, shadow screens, video projections, and giant illuminated puppets combine in this inspiring tale for a winters night.

A collaboration between Curious Legends and the Newcastle Worimi mob, this is a large scale outdoor performance with food trucks, hot drinks, family activities, and even a chance to join in with the show. On the night you can create shadow puppets, learn how to make a traditional crab pot, join a dance workshop with the Bloodline Sista Girls, play theatre games with artists from Curious Legends, and even join us in the performance! Through honoring elders of the past and embracing traditions of the present, Jack’s Place will transport kids of all ages on a journey through the Dreaming…
