An all-Schubert programme is always something special, but Geoffrey Saba’s programme at Stanley Park this September 21st contains something very unique - a Schubert First Performance!

“Three years ago the American fortepianist & scholar Robert Levin published his completion of a totally unknown solo piano work that Schubert left incomplete around 1827, the year before he died. It is in the great tradition of fine completions of Schubert’s music, an exemplary piece of Schubertian scholarship, and I am delighted to bring it to Stanley Park as part of my concert tour of Australia this September”. Geoffrey Saba

The programme is as follows:

Schubert/Levin Fragment in C D916B (compl. Robert Levin) - Australian Premiere
Schubert Sonata in A minor D845
Schubert Sonata in B flat D960.

The performance will take place inside the homestead - an intimate setting with a maximum of 60 tickets available.
Guests are invited to stay for afternoon tea and chat with the performers after the concert.

Stanley Park is situated just 2 hours from north Sydney, within 30 minutes of most Newcastle and Port Stephens suburbs, and an hour’s drive from the Hunter Valley wine country.
