Victorian Child Safe Standards – Creating Child Safe Organisations

The Child Safe Standards have been introduced in Victoria to keep children safe from harm and abuse. They are designed to drive cultural change in organisations, so that protecting children from abuse is embedded in the everyday thinking and practice of leaders, staff and volunteers.

This introductory training program provides an overview of the minimum requirement for a child safe organisation and is recommended for staff and volunteers at organisations that have contact with children.

• Build confidence in reporting child abuse
• Identify the key elements of a child safe organisation
• Understand the barriers to creating a child safe organisation
• Learn how to strengthen child safety in your organisation.
