Details

This Meeting will be conducted under the current Formula 500's Australia Inc. Supplementary Racing Regulations, Australian Speedway Racing Rules and Regulations and these Supplementary Regulations.

ENTRY

Drivers wishing to enter the venues must be familiar with the above mentioned Rules and Regulations.

ENTRY FOR MEETING

Drivers wishing to enter the Easter Tri-Series must be familiar with the above mentioned Rules and Regulations.

Competitors must nominate and pay the appropriate fee before being accepted.

The Brisbane Formula 500 Club reserves the right to accept or reject any entry.

The Brisbane Formula 500 Club and/or the Series Co-ordinators may amend parts of these supplementary regulations and reserves the right to alter the Race Format should any unforeseen circumstances occur.

The series will consist of:

Round 1 - Friday, 7th April 2023 – Maryborough

Round 2 - Saturday, 8th April 2023 – Archerfield

Round 3 - Sunday, 9th April 2023 – Toowoomba 


ENTRY FOR THE ENTIRE SERIES

Nominations close 6pm Sun 2nd APRIL 2023 – Series EntrantsAll Nominations and payments to be completed via Sticky Tickets link. Series Entry Fee: $225 

A complete entry list will be posted on the Brisbane Formula 500 facebook page as soon as all entries are received and accepted

WITHDRAWING FROM A RACE MEETING

Once entered, if a series entrant cannot attend a round for whatever reason, they must notify the series co-ordinator as soon as possible, prior to the sign in deadline.

Failure to do so will result in $20 per night being deducted from your prizemoney.

ENTRY FOR A SINGLE ROUND

Nominations close at Sign-In Deadline on Race Day. All Nominations and payments to be completed via Sticky Ticket link Entry Fee: $75 per round. Drivers who enter for a single round will start heats/finals in the grid draws unless signed in late. 

SIGN-IN

All drivers will be required to sign in with the series officials before the sign-in deadline time. The sign-in sheet will be located at the series trailer at each round of the series. Both driver and car are to be in the pits when signing in. Drivers must produce their current Speedway Australia licence. Any driver who does not sign in on race night by the cut off time will start all heats from the rear. At Sign In, drivers will draw a pill which will determine their heat starting positions.

SERIES STICKER

Series stickers will be provided to all cars at Round 1.Any car not carrying the required stickers, in the designated location, during the nights racing will be ineligible for series prizes and prize money.Spare stickers will be available from the series trailer in the event of damaged wings and body panels

ROOKIES

At the discretion of the Brisbane Formula 500 Club, all rookies may be required to start 3 race meetings rear of field, including finals 

WEIGHING OF CARS

Weighing of cars will be randomScales will be available prior to racing on each nightDrivers are to ensure their car complies with minimum weight (350kg) using the supplied scales. Cars failing to stop at scales, and meet the minimum weight rule willbe disqualified from that event 

ENGINE SEALS

as per Rule 2 (e) - "All 600cc Engines meeting these specification requirements are to be sealed..."Any Engines that are NOT sealed, The Brisbane Formula 500 Club will have the right to check, and measure at any stage of the series

TRANSPONDERS

Electronic timing Transponders will be used.

Drivers will be responsible for lost or damaged hired transponders or any hired transponder not returned.

Any car not having a working transponder may not be lap scored.

Any car crossing the start/finish line under the pole line may not be lap scored.

RACECEIVERS

All drivers must race with a working Raceceiver (and ear pieces).


RACE FORMAT 

Each driver will get 2 heats. The first heat will be via pill draw (at sign in) and the second will be an inversion of the first draw. All Heats to be 8 laps. Maximum of 12 cars per heat. The 16 available cars with the highest points after all heat races will go directly into the A-Main. All remaining cars will go into the B main with the first 4 available cars transferring to the A-Main. Any tied points will be determined by fastest lap time in the heats on the night as determined by the timing system. A Main will be 20 laps, B 12 laps. - Subject to track confirmation. Cars that start but do not finish any final will receive points and prize money for the position they dropped out in.

All cars must display meeting sponsors sticker/s. All sponsor stickers also must be display on top wing outside left side panel. (Stickers will be provided). Failure to do so will result in no points or prize money.

NIGHTLY PRESENTATIONS

Presentations will be held after each round for drivers placed 1stto 3rdin the final.These drivers are to attend presentations in full race suit.

SERIES WINNER 

The winner of the Series will be the driver who has amassed the highest number of points from their heats and finals at the completion of all the contested rounds regardless of how many there might be.In the event of drivers with the same amount of points at the end of the series, there will be no ties.Tied points will be split by most feature wins. If still tied feature 2nds, etc. until the tie is split.The same will occur with all tied positions.

The series presentations will be held after the A Main final at Toowoomba.Details to be advised.

There will be no prize money paid out each night. Drivers will be paid at the end of the series by direct credit within 10 business days after the final round. Please ensure your bank details are correct (when nominating)

PRIZES

Contingency prizes will be on offer to ALL drivers, at each night of the series. Prizes will be handed out at drivers briefing at the follow round. Rd 3 prizes will be handed out at series presentation, following the event. 

The Brisbane Formula 500 Club and/or the Event Co-ordinator may amend parts of these supplementary regulations.

Sign-in times may change, all nominated drivers will be advised via text message of any changes.

To be eligible for end of series prize money you must compete at 6 of the 8 Crete4U Series races and have either yourself or a crew member present at the Brisbane Formula 500 Presentation Dinner at the end of the racing season.

All race results will be uploaded on www.mylaps.com as soon as possible after each meeting.

"Verbal and physical abuse of any official or other competitors, and deliberately distracting or provoking others is not acceptable or permissible behaviour.

Competitors are responsible for their own conduct as well as the conduct of any person associated with them, such as pit crews, vehicle owners and sponsors".*Prize money depending on car count
