From the limestone plains to the bush capital, the hills of the Arboretum have seen it all. Join us for a 90 minute guided walk, taking in the stunning views of Canberra. Our friendly guide will uncover fascinating tales of past and present about the changing landscape of the National Capital, bringing to light stories of the people behind the transformation.

This event is being run in collaboration with the Canberra and Region Heritage Festival.

Important information:

  • Suitable for ages 12 years and over.
  • Meet at the Visitor Information Desk inside the Arboretum Visitors Centre.
  • The walk will cover some uneven surfaces. Reasonable fitness is required.
  • We recommend you bring a water bottle, and wear sturdy shoes and weather appropriate clothing.
  • Bookings close 45 mins before the walk starts, or earlier if capacity is reached.
  • If you feel unwell on the day, please stay at home.
