Research at the Arboretum

Since opening in 2013, the Arboretum has partnered with Universities, citizen science groups and volunteers to undertake studies from tree growth, climate change research to survey work. The Australian National University research forests provide undergraduate and graduate students the opportunity to study trees, soils and climate using cutting edge technology in a dedicated and unique environment. Join one our knowledgeable guides for a long walk through the forest to find out more about the research at the Arboretum.

The walk will take just under 2 hours and participants will require good fitness - approx. 5.5km return. Please wear sturdy enclosed footwear, bring water and dress for the weather conditions.

Meet at the Village Centre at 9.30 am.

Adult: $5, Children (12 - 16 years): Free

Suitable for children over 12 years.

Meet at the Information Desk in the Village Centre.

Bookings are limited to 10 to ensure social distancing can be practised.
