Internationally-acclaimed Argentian-Australian baritone José Carbó gives his first concert in the neighbourhood where he was raised, with a brand-new program of popular Latin music close to his heart. Featuring Mexican superstar harpist Victor Valdes, one of Australia’s leading pianists Glenn Amer and more.

José has performed in leading opera houses all over the world and has been a leading artist at the Sydney Opera House since 2002. Consistently praised for his smooth, rich, powerful voice, thrilling high notes and magnetic stage presence, this is an unmissable concert by one of the most celebrated Latino singers in Australia. José was born in Rosario, Argentina and moved to Australia with his parents at 5 years of age, where he was raised in Chester Hill in the Western Suburbs of Sydney.

Joining José is virtuoso Mexican harpist, Victor Valdes, a walking encyclopedia of Latin music past and present, who has redefined the harp as a solo and lead instrument in a multitude of musical contexts. Pianist Glenn Amer and José have a long history of performing together. Glenn has toured the world presenting his one-man show where he was described as having “the fingers of Liberace and the voice of Mario Lanza”.
