Part 2: Skills Training (Online) 7, 8, 14 and 15 September 2023

Course description:

• Thursday 14 September, 10am - 1pm
• Friday 15 September, 10am - 1pm

Note: This is a four part skills training course. All sessions must be completed in full. 

The Part 2 Skills Training focuses on translation of the knowledge component from Part 1 into skills that support effective supervisory practice. Key skills will be demonstrated and practiced, including those related to: developing a competency based supervision plan; facilitation of supervisee’s competencies through use of interventions such as observation and modelling; evaluating supervisees’ psychological competencies; providing formative and summative feedback; and managing common problems in supervision. Finally, the workshop will provide participants with the opportunity to reflect on the attitudes and values required for sustainable and ethical practice as a supervisor.
