Damn Good Year will be a Damn Good Time on NYE 2025 at The Three Brothers Arms Hotel in Macclesfield, SA. The event will feature 8 bands on an outdoor stage, great food, great drinks, camping, good times & more. All in one of the most beautiful pubs in South Australia. 

GENERAL INFO

WHO’S PLAYING?!

There’ll be 8 bands playing on the day including folk rockstar Ella Ion & her wonderful band, head honcho Ricky Albeck & his wonderful band, the fantajtik Effie Isobel in a rare stripped back moment, the extremo cool rock band Placement, Adelaide’s premier Honky Tonk band CFS, gods of country rock High Beamers, non-German kraut rock enthusiasts OIL! & small town hero rockers Hard Rubbish

WHERE IS IT?

The show is at The Three Brothers Arms in Macclesfield, which is about a 40 minute drive from Adelaide into the hills. It’s one of the most beautiful pubs I’ve ever seen, and they’ve got a great big backyard with an awesome outdoor stage. It’ll be just like Falls festival (it won’t be).

CAMPING

You will be able to camp on site at The Three Bro’s Arms in Macclesfield, there’s room enough for everyone to pitch a tent, set up a swag or do what have you. If you opt for a car or caravan, ask someone at the pub and they’ll direct you to a nice spot to park for the night. You can arrive from 12pm to set up your spot and then settle in for a couple of arvo beers at the pub before the show starts.

SET TIMES

Set times will be released closer to the event, but music will start at about 5pm and will rock until about 1am. There may be a UE Boom or two after this point.

HOW DO YOU KEEP THAT TICKET PRICE SO LOW?!

$25 for 8 bands is like $3 per band or something - so yes, it’s low. We’ve priced it like this to give back to the community and keep the event as accessible as possible so we can all be together and have a good time. But, we’ve also put the ticketing system at a sliding scale, so if you can afford to, feel free to pay more for your ticket which will go directly to the bands playing.

IMPORTANT: Pre-sales are a must to ensure we all have a great time. Please buy your tickets well ahead of time to avoid disappointment if the event sells out and so the pub knows how many people to expect.

P.s. If your friends are playing, buy a ticket anyways cuz it’s nice.

PARKING

There is plenty of street parking, and if that fills up, there’s plenty of parking near the oval just a few hundred metres down the road.

FOOD

The pub will be serving award winning pub fare at extremely fair prices from ?pm - ?pm, but feel free to bring snacks and stuff to keep in the car / tent / caravan / tiny portable home.

DRINKS

The pub will be serving wonderfully priced drinks including alcoholic & non such. Ask John for an espresso martini and see what he says. Not sure if they serve them.

HOW DO I GET TO MACCLESFIELD?

The easiest way to get to Macclesfield is by car. If you don’t have a car, we encourage car pooling with friends or splitting an uber (~$71 from Adelaide city, not bad between 4)

The bus is also possible if you change through Mt. Barker but takes a couple of hours from the city.
