We are extremely happy to announce that the 11th Didgeridoo Bush Camp will be held on 27 - 29 March 2020. Didgeridoo Bush Camp using our new BUSH STAGE :-) is a three day NON for Profit Didgeridoo event for boys and men of all ages and levels.

The Didgeridoo workshops and live performances are done by legend and Didgeridoo Virtuoso Ganga Giri and

Electric World Beat artist Khygy..The weekend also includes the opportunity to make your own Didgeridoo.

It has been a natural progression for Ganga to create a new contemporary sound by mixing funky rhythms through the didj – especially since the sound he was after wasn’t available on the market. Influenced by many varied genres, including East Indian Tabla and African percussion, he has married indigenous Australian and world music with fat funky dance beats, and has found an appreciative audience across the globe. Deeply inspired by the sacredness of Australia’s land and how that feeling can be expressed through the didgeridoo, he has become an ambassador for his country, offering his world-wide audience a reflection of contemporary multicultural Australia.

Electric World Beat that mixes traditional, innovative & electronic instruments based in deep and dynamic Didgeridoo. Inspired by traditional and contemporary styles Khygy has found his own sound of enchanting rhythm and harmonic vocalization. This is a exiting show with special guests performers bringing music from around the world. With over 25 years experience he has a broad vision and understanding of different music styles and rhythms they entertained in multiple countries and we are very happy to have them come out to perform at our Didgeridoo Bush Camp 2020.

Marlon Riley - Birrmba is an accomplished storyteller, song-man and dancer. During the weekend he will share his knowledge and stories about local history and meanings in cultural workshops.

Included in the ticket are all the beautiful vegetarian meals and snacks prepared and served by our beautiful Chef Jade. Cooked on open fire and served in the Didge Dining Room you will enjoy three course meals with creative desserts, freshly made breakfasts and mouth watering lunches. All drinks including water, coffee and thee are included in the ticket. Chef Jade has more then 25 years experience in food preparation and her secret ingredient is love. Lots of great meals to enjoy during the weekend

The weekend also includes the opportunity to make your own Didgeridoo. We will guide you through the process of making your own eucalyptus Didgeridoo to take home with you. The Didgeridoos we use during our workshops are authentic and naturally hollowed out by termites. No living trees or animals have been harmed or damaged in the process. We use quality Red Box and Yellow Box Eucalyptus logs for our workshops; they are seasoned and ready to be carved. Learn how to make your own didgeridoo that includes stripping – sanding – chiseling – painting - tuning and making a mouthpiece out of natural beeswax. All equipment, tools and safety wear are supplied.

Included in the tickets are the accommodation facilities on camping grounds – firewood – parking – security, all meals including water - tea and freshly brewed coffee. Stage & equipment hire - Didgeridoo workshops and performers fee.

We acknowledge and pay respect to the Traditional Owners of Ipswich; the Yagara Language Group: Jagera, Yuggera and Ugarapul.
