How to build habitat into your whole farm plan.

Join Southern New England Landcare for this habitat restoration day and learn how to assess your woodland's health, the importance of connectivity and how to increase it for Woodland Birds and Koalas.

Speakers:

Dr. Andrew Huggett, a consultant ornithologist and ecologist from InSight Ecology.

Richard Munsie, host Landholder and practitioner of habitat restoration on his production property which hosts part of the New England Solar Farm.

Des Andersen, Koala Conservation Officer, Northern Tablelands Koala Partnership Program hosted by Southern New England Landcare Ltd.

Gordon Williams, Landholder, a long-time practitioner of habitat restoration within a whole farm framework.

Topics include:

  • Woodland birds as indicator species for the health of woodlands
  • Functional habitat for woodland birds
  • The importance of connected habitat for Koalas
  • Landholder's experiences with successful revegetation and hosting a solar farm.
  • Habitat restoration within a whole of farm approach and the 4 Ps of Successful Revegetation
